Brit Shameless star Tina Malone's gastric band success for wedding day

British actress Tina Malone, 47, a star of the comedy Shameless since 2005, was fitted with a gastric band to aid in her weight loss in March, and by her wedding day in Manchester, England on Saturday, August 28th she had lost over 60 lbs. It was the first time in years that Malone could fit into a size 14 (size 10 in North America).

A guest told the Manchester Evening News, “In her regal cream dress she literally looked half her age and looked tiny after losing all that weight, she really was the most beautiful bride. ”

Malone married personal trainer Paul Chase, 28, who at 19 years younger than Malone is the same age as her daughter, Danielle. They met in 2009 after Malone, at her heaviest, was evicted from the UK's Celebrity Big Brother.

Defending the age difference, Malone tells Closer magazine, "People had plenty to say about the age difference, but at the end of the day, love is love, isn’t it?"

Aussie actress Kate Richie planning small, intimate wedding

Australian actress Kate Richie and her former rugby league fiance Stuart Webb are planning to wed in a small, intimate ceremony later this year, and Richie spoke about her preparations in a recent issue of Aussie mag Woman's Day.

“I’d like to think I will be a bride who, at the end of the night, can say she’s spoken to everyone individually. I think that will be the advantage of it being small and intimate,” says Richie, modelling gowns for the magazine. She was recently spotted in Sydney shopping for a dress with her sister, Rebekah, and is keeping the basic wedding details - when, where, how - to herself, but calls the day her "dream wedding."

Says Richie, who has been working hard to tone up for her wedding day, "We’re concentrating on it being the day we want it to be.”

The couple were engaged on a European holiday together last September. It will be the first marriage for both.

Married Saturday at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, actor Chad Lowe and new wife Kim Painter have shared a wedding photo - posing with their 15-month-old daughter, Mabel, who served as ring bearer.

They also provided People.com with the deisgners they wore for the big day - Painter wore a strapless wedding dress by Kirstie Kelly, and Lowe, who currently stars on summer hit Pretty Little Liars, paired his Rag & Bone suit with a Dolce and Gabbana shirt and tie.
