Vicki's Challenge #32 Traditional Christmas Colours

Card Set Challenge #4 - 08-27-09



Hi Friends!! Hey, it's card set challenge #4 time! Yay! What is the challenge about? Well, the challenge is to create 3 or more sets of card of the same design following the sketch below. You can focus on holiday cards such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. or on celebration cards such as birthdays, get well, etc. You can create your cards as simple as you want or if you want to put in the time into it, you can go a bit fancier but the goal is to create sets.

If you want to play along, comment on this post with a picture of your card set from your blog, PCP or SCS gallery! It's a great way to get your holiday cards out of the way or to create sets to give as gifts for Christmas. Hope you'll play along this week!

August weekend design


This was one of the few SAL scheduled weekends where I was actually not scheduled to work so I took advantage of that and stitched "Heartfelt Harvey" designed by Imaginating, Inc.. The design is from JCS 2008 and was inspired by a style called redwork aka turkeywork. I did not have enough red in my mystery thread pile to do the whole design in one single colour so I played around with the thread and fabric colour.

Sankari's Challenge #31 - Out of the A2 Box! - 08-24-09


Hi Everyone! Sankari here :) I am excited to be the host of this week's challenge - and how about a little something different with out Christmas cards this week? Create a card that is not your regular A2 card (A2 cards regularly measure 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") Create anything but an A2 card! It can be a circle card, a square card, a heart card, a star card a christmas tree shaped card - any shape at all!!! So have fun crafting outside the box! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
