About Dress Code: High Fashion

The Concept

Formed in june 2010, as Boheme Noir Blog. Renamed to Dress Code: High Fashion in june 2011 (the change of name had to happen to avoid copyright-issues).

Dress Code: High Fashion is a daily online magazine. It is strictly high fashion: refined, high-end, sophisticated, traditional, luxurious, glamorous, edgy and exclusive.

I do both, Menswear and Womenswear, because they depend on each other - what is a lady without a matching gentleman and vice versa!? I think every human being should always dress the best they can and I hope to encourage and support a return of elegance and sophistication with my magazine.

More than pretty pictures

There is no sophistication and cultivation without thinking. An unreflected or superficial person or thing can never possess true beauty, that`s why all things featured in my blog have to have a significant background, sense or meaning.

To me, something is good when it makes you think and wonder. Wonder is the beginning of all discovery. That`s why I encourage a discussion with every post.

The Timeline

Even though fashion collections are presented months in advance I believe in covering them in the right season - who is interested in next summer`s mini-dresses in the middle of winter!?!

So I`m posting summer collections from january to june, summer Haute Couture in february and Prefall collections in june. Winter collections from july to december, winter Haute Couture in july and Cruise collections in december.

I do not claim ownership over all pictures used. Images posted are credited to their respective sources on the bottom of each post. I will remove images on request of the original copyright holder.

Antique Baby Shoe Pin Cushion

Hey Diddle Diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the Moon!

I feel like I won my own drawing! In return Granni P(winner of my cupcake /etsy gift certificate) gave me an adorable handmade baby shoe pin cushion! This unique little baby shoe is embellished with antique buttons and handmade charms highlighting a popular nursery rhyme theme! Granni P puts so much detail and creativity into everything she does. I've always admired her talents!

Check out every little detail! I smile every time I look at it! I've always had a weakness for baby shoes, antique buttons and crafty creations. I love it! Thank you!

I happily placed my antique baby shoe on a shelf that sits next to a favorite picture(thought)!
The journey of a thousand miles begins with ONE STEP. I think of my miracle baby and her brave journey.
Thank you!

Cherie of All Kinds of Crafty Things

I live in Leeds in the UK and married to Rob, we have two wonderful daughters and three scrumptious grandchildren. My sister is my best friend and we love to get together and craft. I adore stamping and beautiful papers that are just too nice to use. I like cute and girly, teddies and children stamps mostly with a few flowers on the side.

I started card making about 4 years ago to raise money for our granddaughters school. Like most crafters I just had to try everything going. My love of stamping has really taken over now and find joy and relaxation in colouring the images. I did start out with water colour pencils, but I now love to use Copic markers.

I started my blog in January this year so that I could enter challenges, it's so amazing how many lovely friends are out there all over the world, i'm still in awe of it. I'm proud to be a member of the Teddy Stampers Challenge design team. Finding the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge blog has given me another joy, that in creating projects like the wonderful file purse.

I enjoyed making it and Maria's tutorials are so easy to follow. I was so thrilled to be invited as a Guest Designer, although vintage is not really my style I enjoyed trying it, and have set myself a goal to do more.I hope you will be inspired to join in with this weeks challenge.
Thank you for having me..X

Check out the beautiful cards the design team created
