Aussie actress Kate Richie planning small, intimate wedding

Australian actress Kate Richie and her former rugby league fiance Stuart Webb are planning to wed in a small, intimate ceremony later this year, and Richie spoke about her preparations in a recent issue of Aussie mag Woman's Day.

“I’d like to think I will be a bride who, at the end of the night, can say she’s spoken to everyone individually. I think that will be the advantage of it being small and intimate,” says Richie, modelling gowns for the magazine. She was recently spotted in Sydney shopping for a dress with her sister, Rebekah, and is keeping the basic wedding details - when, where, how - to herself, but calls the day her "dream wedding."

Says Richie, who has been working hard to tone up for her wedding day, "We’re concentrating on it being the day we want it to be.”

The couple were engaged on a European holiday together last September. It will be the first marriage for both.

Brit soap star's dramatic real-life romance leads to engagement announcement

EastEnders soap star Sid Owen sleeps in a separate bed than his longtime girlfriend, 26-year-old Polly Parsons, but that didn't stop the pair from secretly getting engaged six months ago. Nor did it stop them from postponing a planned September ceremony after a two-month split earlier this year.

Owen, 38, who is also a former British pop star, proposed to Parsons while on holiday in Barbados six months ago. Owen and Parsons tell OK! about the romantic proposal.

"There was a raft out at sea which we'd swim out to," says Owen. "I didn't have a ring so I got this guy on the beach to make one out of beads in the reggae colours, as I love my reggae, and I put that in my back pocket and we swam out there and I proposed."

"It was really romantic," says Parsons.

'Romantic' does little to describe how this happy couple spend their nights - apart, in separate bedrooms. Then again, Parsons reasoning for sleeping alone may have a lot to do with why they're so blissfully happy these days.

"He snores like a rhino," she says. "After we went traveling I had to be honest with him about it," says Polly, 'and he said he liked having his own bed anyway so it was perfect. I'll stay in Sid's bed watching TV cuddling. If I fall asleep in his room I soon hear him snoring and get up anyway and go into my room. People think it's weird but it works for us."

The couple were originally planning to wed in September but split when the pressure of pulling together the big day became too much for Parsons. "We had about a thousand people coming! It would have been about everyone else - now we've had time apart, we know what's important. It just started to get out of hand and it scared me."

During their time apart, Owen took off for a detox centre in Thailand, but the couple say they spoke daily in order to get their relationship back on track. As for where and when the couple will finally wed, the couple tells OK! they plan to take their time and will wed "maybe next year."

But they'll have to compromise - Owen wants a wedding at his 600-year-old farmhouse in France, but Polly wants to return to Barbados.

Kym Marsh keeps engagement ring under wraps

Following the announcement that Coronation Street's Kym Marsh was engaged over the holidays to fellow British soap star Jamie Lomas, the actress was recently spotted near the soap's Manchester studios keeping her diamond hidden from the paparazzi. Just the band was visible as she hid the bauble in her fist.

No word on when the couple plan to wed. She was previously married to actor Jack Ryder, and has two children with ex-boyfriend Dave Cunliffe. Lomas also has a son from a previous relationship. The couple's own son, Archie, was born prematurely in February 2009 and died shortly after his birth. The strain from the loss of their son led the couple to split last fall, only to reconcile a month later.

Coronation Street star engaged on New Year's Eve

Kym Marsh, one of the stars of the long-running British soap opera, Coronation Street, was engaged on New Year's Eve to her boyfriend, Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, following a tumultuous 2009 for the pair.

In February, their son Archie Jay was born four months prematurely and did not survive, leading to the couple's separation in October. They rekindled their romance a month later and then, in front of his family at a party at their home, Lomas asked Marsh to marry him.

A friend told The Mirror, "When the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve Jamie got down on one knee, pulled out a ring and proposed. There wasn't a dry eye in the house."

Marsh, who first found fame as a member of British reality TV-bred pop group Hear'Say, was previously married to former EastEnders star Jack Ryder, and has son David and daughter Emily with ex-boyfriend Dave Cunliffe. Lomas has a son, Billy, with ex-girlfriend Hayley Lever.

Married November 28, 2009 at Las Vegas' Cupid's Wedding Chapel, The Bold & the Beautiful star Hunter Tylo posed on her wedding day with her new hubby, Gerson Archila, and her children for the pages of The National Enquirer, reprinted in Australia's New Idea magazine.

This is Tylo's third marriage and Archila's first.

British actress Patsy Kensit finally goes on honeymoon with hubby no. 4

The couple were married on April 18, 2009, but only now have Holby City star Patsy Kensit and her musician boyfriend, DJ Jeremy Healy, been able to take a honeymoon. According to sources, the couple spent the New Year's break in the Maldives with her nine-year-old son, Lennon, from her previous marriage to Oasis' Liam Gallagher.

The wedding occurred inside One Whitehall Place at London's Royal Horseguards Hotel, and was attended by a list of celebrity guests including Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and actress Liz Hurley.

It was Kensit's fourth marriage, and her fourth to a musician, following marriages to Gallagher, Simple Minds' Jim Kerr, and Big Audio Dynamite's Dan Donovan. In addition to Lennon, Kensit has son James, 17, with Kerr. Healy, former frontman of the group Haysi Fantayzee, has a daughter, 18-year-old Marley, from a previous relationship.

The Bold & the Beautiful's Hunter Tylo weds in Las Vegas

She kept the news to herself for a few weeks, but in mid-December Hunter Tylo, star of the soap, The Bold & the Beautiful, was married to her boyfriend Gersson Archila on Sunday, November 29, 2009. The couple were married at Las Vegas, Nevada's Cupid's Wedding Chapel in front of a small gathering of family.

Tylo was walked down the aisle by her son, Christopher, with her ex-husband Tom Morehart, dressed in a white figure-hugging gown. She exchanged vows with her groom in a tear-filled ceremony. In an exclusive interview with The National Enquirer, Tylo said, "I couldn't be happier. Real love is worth the wait! Only God could have connected me to a man who puts God first." The Enquirer then dug up Archila's domestic abuse past and quoted a family member as saying, "Gersson was a wild man who couldn't control his temper and got into bad relationships. But two years ago he had an epiphany. He took God into his life, and his newfound religion led him to Hunter."

This is Tylo's third marriage. In addition to Morehart, she was married to Michael Tylo from 1987 to 2005, with whom she had daughters Izabella and Katya. Her oldest son, Michael, died in 2007 at the age of 19 when he drowned in the family's swimming pool. Tylo, in the Enquirer, referred to her wedding as finally coming out of her "dark period." Archila has a daughter from a previous relationship.
