Retrospective: Christian Dior Haute Couture by John Galliano 3/12: SS 03 - China & Japan

dc1

I LOOOOOOOVE how Galliano merged traditional asian elements like the kimono or the floral print with couture-patterns like the big round or ruffled skirt.

dc2

This is the ONLY western fashion I´ve EVER seen that lives up to the luxury of a japanese kimono.

dc3

The red eyeshadow trend summer 2010 on the Dior runway in summer 2003 :) - more evidence that Pat McGrath is a visionary genious!

dc4

I`m impressed by the consistency of the collection - even though each skirt is different and various silhouettes are combined.

dc5

I`d die to wear dresses 2 or 4 INCLUDING the make-up and the red lace-up platforms, which are the absolute SHOE-GASM to me!

dc6

Only a technical- tailoring- & visionary genious like Galliano can produce ART like this.
