Feb Ornie - Winter

I stitched this recently, but finished it up this weekend. It's Spot of Winter, by The Drawn Thread. Thanks for listing me in the Featured Stitchers this month , it was fun to see my name there :)

Just a little finishing

This month I did just a little finishing, sewing a small pillow. The stitching was already done a couple of months ago. This design comes from The Drawn Thread, I like it very much and I did it already several times. It is funny to use old buttons for it.

I see, our blog had a big change, just great, thank you!

First snow

Finally I have to show another christmas ornament: "First snow", a Drawn-Thread-Freebie. It's a christmas gift for my stitching friend Anja. I hope you'll like it too and wish you all a merry Christmas.

Polstitches Designs: Dragon Shades - Let It Snow

DMC threads and Mill Hill 03021

I made a few changes in that most of my birds are singing and I thought the snow would look better in beads. I'm planning to finish this as a little bellpull.

July Ornies

Here's two finishes from over the weekend:

Tree Keeper by Drawn Thread, freebie found here

Holiday Holly by Mill Hill

Katrina's June Ornament

This is a freebie by the Drawn Thread, Home for the Holidays. I think I'll finish it into a small tuck pillow with a little hanger.

Santa Keeper for May

Here is my May contribution to the Ornament Stitch-A-Long - Santa Keeper, a freebie from The Drawn Thread. I went with something quick this month as time was an issue. :-) I love what everybody is doing! Bravo!

Drawn Thread Christmas pillow.

I used a linen band for this little pillow, the design is from an old Drawn Thread JCSCO . I put red linen on the back, it was a very easy finishing but nice effect.

A Second For January and a First for February

This first ornament is a Freebie from The Drawn Thread called First Snow. I finished this a few weeks ago, but the original photo I took was pretty crummy. I re-photographed it today when I photographed today's ornament finish.

I stitched First Snow on a Silkweavers hand dyed I think its Spring Breeze, instead of making the snow flakes out of Smyrna Crosses I used Mill Hill Beads. The threads are a combination of DMC, WDW, and GAST. I used what I had on hand.

This second ornament I just did the finishing on today and finished the stitching on Thursday. This is Jeannette Douglas's Hope Needleroll Ornament from the JCS 06 Ornament issue. This is stitched using all the required threads, beads, etc. It is so pretty and very enjoyable to stitch! Jeannette really knows how to use specialty stitches and fibres for maximum effect.
