TPS - Christmas Wood

All the year long I was working on the 12 TPS Christmas Trees. Today I finished, putting them on big cinnamonsticks. And this is how my kitchen window looks like (the socks above is a calendar...every day something sweet in a sock..)

Merry Christmas to all of you and a Happy New Year!

I cannot live without TPS

...yes, it seems to be like that, I cannot live without The Prairie Schooler in this SAL. I am going on stitching TPS in August, choosing the Old World Santas, here is the first:

12 Christmas trees.....

During my summer holidays I went on stitching on my TPS Christmastrees. Finally I finished all of them. Now it is time for sewing....here you see the last 4

The very last tree remembers the first christmas I spent with my husband...

I think I will keep on stitching with you now in the same rythm, one small ornament each month, I just got out the graphics for the old world santas from TPS. Your posts are really motivating me!
Saludos

Christmas Wood

I went on stitching on my christmas trees from TPS. This time I can show you 4 of them, 2 for february and 2 as march-ornament.

See you again in april.......besos

Just a little finishing

This month I did just a little finishing, sewing a small pillow. The stitching was already done a couple of months ago. This design comes from The Drawn Thread, I like it very much and I did it already several times. It is funny to use old buttons for it.

I see, our blog had a big change, just great, thank you!

A new project...

During this year here with you in this SAL I got my 12 ornaments stitched and finished, I am really very content.......for the next year I am planning to plant a "Christmas Wood" (Christmas trees, The Prairie Schooler). Here is the beginning.....

Feliz Navidad a todos!
Birgit

Going on......

....with some freebies from there. I am not so happy with the snowmen, would have been better to finish them in circles. I will give them away to a family with two little boys...

And then two ornaments in red from JCS

In town again

During summer I had no chance to stitch, but now I am here again. The little september-cushion will find its place in the walnut basket. It is from JCS, Christmas 1999, stitched on natural linen, 40ct.

Just nans Nutcracker

Next weekend there won t be time for stitching, therefore -better earlier than never :-) -the ornament for april. It is Just nans nutcracker from JCS-Ornaments. The nutcracker will be the "cinnamon stick carrier" next christmas.

Obsession Christmas

When I decided to participate in this SAL, I didn t realize, what kind of obsession could be developped. Every month I am looking for new ideas, thinking about what I really would like to have……….look at that:

Since a very long time I wanted to have a christmas calendar made of 24 socks. Here they are. Without this SAL , for sure, I never wouldn t have made them .
Saludos to everybody

Little spicy bag

When I saw this littel bag in the book "Advent" from Christiane Dahlbeck, a german designer, I couldn t resist ;-). In the book I found only the grafic for stitching and a foto, therefore the little bag is my "invention".
Did I almost mention, that I really love this blog? It is so nice to see all those beautiful ornaments!
Greetings to everybody, Birgit
PS: The christmas plant which you see in the picture is still alive from last christmas...maybe I should put some eastereggs around now .....:-)))

Ornaments from the beach

Last week my children had holidays, we decided, to spent them on the beach. There was a lot of time to stitch and - lucky me - I prepared 3 ornaments. Yesterday evening I made the finish. The "christmas chorus" is a little cushion, filled with spices, my favorite ornament is the rendeer, it is stitched in petit point over 1 fabric thread.

The charts are all from JCS 2006, The Workbasket, Waters Edge and Elizabeths design. Stitched with rests of thread (simply Anchor) and beads on a rest of home colored (with coffee) stitching fabric ;-)).

Greetings to everybody, have a nice day!

Also in Spain...

....we prepare christmas decoration. Here my ornaments from january. I am not very content with the finish, the next ones will be better........
JCS 2005 (samplers and such) and JCS 2006 (wild heart design), the blue one I found already done in my stitching box and I took it for the ornament finishing. I think, this is also a good ocasion to spent rests of threads........therefore I don t know thread numbers, sorry.
