Finishing festival

Last weekend I declared Finishing Weekend.... it was that or be drowned in a sea of stitched but not completed ornies. I managed to get through 21 ornies in 2 days -- mind you, ALL I did was finish ornies and watch TV.

no, I am NOT the most inventive finisher in the world, but at least they are done and ready for the holidays.... that's quite a miracle in my life.

Finishing? What's that?

I've made peace with being one of the world's slowest stitchers, but I really need to conquer my non-finishing tendencies. I've been on an Ornament Campaign, and I've finished a fair amount for me, but I haven't finished any of them. Sigh -- story of my life!

St. Ruth's Designs Christmas Cottage from JCS 1998 (I'm pretty certain it was 1998). Done in DMCs on opalascent lugana.

I think this is a LK pattern, but I was going by a picture so I'm not sure. If you can lend any knowledge, I'd be grateful.

Charland's wonky tree from last year's JCS in Belle Soie over-dyed silk on natural linen. And, an "edited" and beaded LK from last year's JCS.

And, drum roll please, the only ornie I've finished so far this year ---

From Gift of Stitching magazine.

As you can probably guess, any finishing catalysts would be greatly appreciated. lol

A liitle bit of a thing

I did this small penguin over one last weekend. I wish all my ornie choices stitched this fast!

A motivated weekend

I got inspired this weekend and did a few little pieces. No finishing, but then again, finishing isn't my strong suit. :)

The first two are from a book of old Dutch sampler motifs, the last from a old French motif book.

Joiing the fun....

Hi, I'm just joining the SAL and can happily post two finishes for this week and last week and I expect one more by the end of the night.

An old pattern from one of those "giant books of quick ornaments" that crop up every year. In misc. overdyes on opalascent lugana:
Ornie 1 of 2007 3/8/2007

From JCS ornie issue 2006 -- sorry can't remember the designer at the moment:
JCS ornie that only took 6 months to do!
