January Ornaments

The angel design is adapted from Pat Waters Country Crafts angel design in Christmas Minatures II (1979), and I added my own border. The wreath design is adapted from JBW's Noel Ornament in The Ornament Collection leaflet (1991).

My late January ornie post

A little late posting...but here are the ornaments that I stitched in January. I just hadn't had a chance to take pictures of them.

This is from Stacy Nash Primitives, Homespun Christmas Pinkeep Ornaments

This is JBW Designs, Christmas Motif Sampler

Thanks for looking!

Melissa

It's been awhile for me but here is a finish I used for a recent ornament exchange. I should have a couple more to share soon.

Second April Ornament

I had the urge for a quick finish so I stitched up this ornament.

My March ornament

This is my March ornament.
It's Reindeer, from JBW Designs,
of The French Country Collection.
I have used Crescent Colours' Belle Soie Rose of Sharon on a 32ct Belfast linen Expression Elegance by Silkweaver.

It was very quick to be stitched, and I have realized it on Friday; yesterday I've quilted it.

The back fabric is a Mumm Winter Whimsy Label Panel Multi on Green.

You can see the front and the back of the ornament.

Not sure yet how I will finish this. I looked through my fabrics and I don't see a finishing fabric I like for this right now, and the stores around here do not have a lot of Christmas fabrics available, so this may be put aside for a while now until the right finishing fabric reveals itself - I had fun! I look forward to next month!

YAY! I am finally able to log into this blog :)

It was an ordeal, but I can finally post/comment. I had to create a new account as blogger wouldn't let me post/comment!

This is my January ornament with the Christmas Ornament SAL. It is Christmas Motif Sampler from JBW designs. I omitted the border. I loved stitching this one and chose one of my favorite fibers, DMC 115. I finished it into a simple flat ornament :) I love it ! I will look forward to hanging this one from my tree this year )
I enjoyed knowing that others were stitching their ornaments today
I look forward to next months SAL
