According to British tab The Sun, pop star Robbie Williams proposed to his girlfriend of three years, American actress Ayda Field, at the home they share in Los Angeles just two days before New Year's Eve.
Though the report is unconfirmed, there may be reason to believe it's just another rumour, following a false start on their engagement early in December while both were being interviewed live on Sydney, Australia radio station 2DayFM. When asked that day by the hosts if they were considering marriage, Williams paused before telling Field: "Will you marry me? I love you so much, would you mind being my betrothed until the end of time."
Field replied, "I would love to be your betrothed until the end of time," but soon after media reports went off the wall, Williams' publicist clarified, "He did say it, but he did it in a jocular manner. They are not engaged."
So, could it be true that Williams, who had reportedly planned to propose on New Year's Eve but was too excited to wait, is now engaged to Field? He did admit recently live with British talk show host Jonathan Ross that he wanted to have a family with her, and the couple were spotted playing football in Los Angeles over the weekend, with Field sporting a huge diamond on her ring finger, but the pop singer's reps remain mum.
