After a whirlwind romance that began in September 2009, singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand were engaged while on vacation in Jaipur, India on New Year's Day. The couple were in the midst of a week-long vacation in the area - reportedly Brand's Christmas gift to Perry.This will be the first marriage for both.
