Baby biscornu #3

I think the button for the centre is on its way.

Stitched by: Karin
Pattern - Floss Box Mini Biscornu Pack 1 with zig-zag border
Floss - DMC Blanc
Fabric - Christmas Red evenweave.

Number 2

A highly modified ornament from Cherished Stitches - stitched with #4 Braid instead of floss, left off the border and added crystals. I do like the way it turned out though.

New Ornament!

I haven't stitched in ages, but finally finished an ornament. This is from the 2008 JCS issues from the Cat's Whisker's Studio. I stitched the ornament in Vicky Clayton's Deep Ocean and Delica beads instead of the recommended fibres.
This is an entirely beaded ornament. There is a net of crystals and seed beads surrounding a central crystal cabochon (flat round crystal). The pattern was adapted from a necklace pattern in Bead & Button magazine.
This ornament is the corner of one of TW Designworks "Celtic Inspirations" designs, stitched up into a square. I've used this ornament in the TWBB Ornament Exchange this year, and it has now been received.

Be Merry

This is from "My Mark Designs" stitched with the recommended DMC threads.

Mini Biscornu

I found some adorable freebie "Mini-Biscornu" Patterns from Floss Box. I added a simple border, because I thought that the biscornu would be too hard to sew together with the evenweave fabric if it wasn't a little bigger. The button is vintage, from a collection of buttons I found at a craft sale.

October Ornament

This is an adaptation of "The Cat's Whiskers Studio" Ornament in the 2008 JCS issue. Instead of coloured threads, I used DMC white and Delica silky rainbow beads.

New ornament

This is "Sapphire Star" from Patricia Ann Designs (2004 JCS Issue). I stitched it with a Dinky Dyes Silk, and erinite coloured crystals on mystery fabric.

Ornament Finishing

I did the finishing on my January ornament today - I have been making beads out of glass for the past two years, and luckily I found two beads that matched the ornament perfectly! They're at the top and bottom of the ornament.

My February Ornament

Here's mine for February - I still seem to be in a blue and purple mood. It's from the 2006 JCS Ornament issue. Instead of the recommnded colours, I used Vikki Clayton "Orb" and Waterliles "Amethyst". I still need to add a tassle, but it's stitched into a little pillow at the moment.

January Ornament

I had the day off work today, so I thought I'd get a head start on the Stitch-Along for the weekend. My January ornament is from La Broiderie, and its called "Snow Glow". I didn't use the called for colours, substituting a Minnamurra thread, a purple Kreinik and some delicas instead. I still need to pick up the snowflake for the middle when I go to the needlework store next.
