Britty Kitty finish

I started this one on Friday and finished it in the car on they way home today from Southern Ohio. It was a beautiful chilly day with lots of sunshine. I just wish I could finish these up in the car! I am on the road a lot. Have a great day stitching Laurel

New finish

Here is a just finished, and still needs a Jesus button for the manger. The button was ordered yesterday and it should be here in a week or so. This is a Lil' Britter by Brittercup Designs. I have been so busy crocheting that I have neglected my cross stitching. I hope to have another Brittercup done by next week. Have a great day stitching Laurel

My blog is one of the monthly featured blogs this month. It cheered me up no end, even though my blog hasn't had much stitching featured for a while.

Ornies by Anne S
Now I have my primary blog on Wordpress, I keep forgetting to come over to the Blogger dashboard and upload piccies to the Blogger blogs ... I'm not updating with the latest ornies I've stitched since my last update in January - I have stitched an ornie every month, just keep forgetting to post! All these ornies are from the 2007 JCS Christmas ornament issue.
Poinsettia

I actually got two stitched over this past weekend. I'm stitching poinsettias right now, I plan to pick Santas next to stitch. Anyway, this one is Poinsettia by Brittercup Designs and appeared in the 2007 JCS special issue. I changed the colorway to "brighten" it up just a bit, using Ozark Sampler flosses, and it's stitched on a plain white piece of linen (a real departure for me, LOL) that I found in my fabric tub.

April Ornament & Card
Hi Everyone,
Here is my ornament & card for April. The poinsettia is from the JCS 2007 Christmas Ornaments Magazine by Brittercup Designs. Stitched on 28 count antique white Jobelan with DMC threads.
I'm not quite sure how I will 'ornamentise' it yet, maybe a wee pillow.
The card design is a freebie from www.cross-stitch-directory.com stitched on 25 count evenweave with DMC threads.
Happy stitching, Sue in Australia.

October and November Ornaments
These are the ornaments that I am doing for gifts this year. The first two are by Brittercup Designs (Poinsettia and Christmas Puppy) from the 2007 and 2006 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issues. The third is Curious Reindeer from the 2007 BH&G Christmas Book. I changed most of the threads and stitched them all over one. The fabrics are a Silkweaver Solo, China Pearl Jobelan, and SMF Leprechaun.

My March Ornament

Here is my March ornament, I am little behind as you can see. It is noel birdhouse by Brittercup Designs. It is from the 2004 ornament issue. It is missing the little bird button near the opening. It's on order, and I did it on sparkly white fabric instead of the summer khaki the pattern called for. Now onto the April ornament. I will catch up!

making up for lost time
Last month, I was too busy with school and other stuff to participate in the SAL, so I got the lead out for this month! I've finished four ornaments today - three were ones I had already stitched, but not yet finished, and the little elf ornament is one I stitched and finished today.
I love the little tassle for the Britty dog silhoutte, and the cording came out well, too. Yay, me! My oldest son's favorite is the reindeer from PS, finished on a hand-dyed cotton that's a soft blue/gray shade. Maybe that should be my favorite, too, as it was a no-sew finish. LOL.
Without further ado, here they are (all are clickable):

My first finish of 2007

thi is my first finish of the new year: I stitched Britty Puppy Christmas, from Brittercup Designs.
It has been published in the 2006 JCS Ornament issue, and it it the companion of Britty Kitty Christmas I have already stitched.
I used a cream linen, DMC threads for the silhouette and the sock, GAST threads for the hat and the heart.

You can see the front and the back of the ornament.
Now I have to decide my next ornie!
