Besides, many of the Christmas decors and gift wraps are not your traditional green and red colors. I live in London and work full time as a music teacher, teaching flute and clarinet in several schools. I've always enjoyed making things, and discovered card-making 4 years ago. My favourite technique is stamping, and I love pretty papers. I started my blog nearly 2 years ago, and since then have become addicted to card-making challenges, and am now a member of four design teams. My favourite type of card to make are Christmas cards, and I make them throughout the year...so I'm thrilled to be guest designing for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long this week!

Summer is almost here for my kids! They are all anxiously awaiting the last day of school! I think I am too! I am looking forward to long summer days, family reunions, family vacation, late night sewing projects, and cooler weather in the rocky mountains. I also can't wait to visit some of my favorite quilt stores in Utah. I always love the new Halloween and Christmas fabrics!
My Etsy shop will be temporarily closed June 23rd- August 30th. It is always great to return in the fall with new projects to share and new creations! Thanks to all of you who visit my shop!

Mallika Sherawat’s Love Barack Posters Half naked Mallika covered with US flag
Mallika Sherawat has already created waves in the Indian cinema. However, she has been out of Bollywood films for quite a while now. The pretty lady is out-of-work in Bollywood only because her hands are full of Hollywood films at the moment. There are two Hollywood films that are coming out which will feature the actress in the lead role. One is in the movie “Hisss”, directed by Jennifer Chambers Lynch in which she plays a snake woman. And the other one is “Love Barack” in which she plays a supporter of Barack Obama. Both the films “Hisss” and “Love, Barack” have been screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2010. Mallika Sherawat was also present there to promote her films and she did manage to create a stir too. In the promotional first look poster of the movie “Love, Barack”, Mallika is seen wrapped in American Flag along with co-star Laz Alonso. The poster have already generated a lot of attention. The movie,”Love,Barack” is a political comedy directed by American filmaker Doug McHenry. Mallika Sherawat plays Aretah Gupta who is a devoted local Obama volunteer coordinator. Then a moth before the election day, she falls for a handsome African-American, played by Avatar star Laz Alonso, who is working at McCain office. Going by the looks of the poster, it seems there will be many interesting scenes. Let’s hope the film is as interesting as the poster.

Fit for a Princess!
Every little girl needs a handmade magical fairy princess wand to go with her "dress-up" clothes!
This is a great craft project or party favor for a little girl Birthday party! Welcome smiles and twirls!
From Fishing poles to Princess wands...remember the fish, use your leftover dowels.
Would you like to make one? Here's a easy tutorial!
Materials needed:
Dowels (Walmart craft isle or any craft store)
ribbon (wide and narrow-I used my ribbon scraps)
flowers (dollar store~I used 5-6 flowers per wand)
wire, glue sticks
buttons or jewels
bells (thread bells through narrow ribbon)
tulle (great use of tulle scraps)
1. Cut two tulle squares measuring 6" X 6".
2. Take flowers apart(take centers out of the flowers).
3. Place two flowers in the center of the tulle .
4. Pinch the tulle and flowers to a point.
5. Wrap tulle with wire on to your dowel.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 until you have a full wand of flowers wrapped in tulle. I made 4 sets for one wand).

7. Take wide ribbon and fold the raw edge over.
8. Wrap the dowel and glue with glue gun top and bottom.
9. Embellish wand with large bow, several smaller ribbons, tulle, and buttons.
10. Thread ribbon through 3-4 bells, place in wand. (My daughter loves the bells!)
