I haven't posted to this blog for a long time, but since I admire every ornament when someone posts, I thought I'll try to post more often too :) Besides, Christmas is approaching, so I'm sure I'll be stitching more Christmas ornaments now :)

Here are couple of ornaments I've stitched this year, I haven't been very organized in this SAL and haven't stitched every month :) Next year I'll try to stitch two ornaments every month and also post the photos here :)

Snow Bird

I've finished stitching one and a half ornaments this month to make up for my poor performance last month, but I'm only showing the finished one. It's Snow Bird by La-D-Da from the 2004 JCS ornament magazine. I actually had the recommended 36ct linen and thread, which was a minor miracle!

It's not finished finished as I didn't pack any fabrics or ribbons in the suitcase. I'm going to have a finishing frenzy later in the year when my stuff arrives.

Speaking of which - I was thinking of having a mid-year finishing weekend. Would anyone be interested in joining me? How does the first weekend of July sound?

My January Ornament

For January I had planned on doing something a little bigger but I was short on time over the weekend so I decided to do something a little less stitch intensive. So here is my Christmas Heart from La-D-Da from the 2005 Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue. I did it on Silkweavers 28 count Heritage 1 over 1 (my first 1x1 project!) using the recommended fibers. It's so tiny! I just love it.
