October ornies

Since I'm a big fan of anything autumn, I decided to stitch something for fall as well as a Christmas ornie. The fall ornament is a Prairie Schooler pumpkin from their Autumn Leaves leaflet stitched on 14ct black Aida. It was the first time I'd used Aida in a number of years.

The second ornament was designed by Robin Clark and is from the Better Homes & Gardens 1996 Cross-Stitch Ornament issue. It's one of four Scandinavian Mitten Ornaments. My finishing leaves a lot to be desired! I am learning though!

July ornie

"Stuffed Snowman" from Better Homes and Gardens Cross Stitch Christmas 1996. He is stitched on yet another mystery fabric from my stash and odds and ends threads. His arms are supposed to be wire, but I used twigs from the yard instead.
